I wanted to let you know of a new Web resource that might be of interest to you.   Usepropane.com is  a Web site that was conceived and created by the Propane Education & Research Council.  Recently, the site has been updated with a stimulus incentives map that allows homeowners to calculate how much money they can save on an upgrade to an energy-efficient propane appliance through tax credits and propane rebates in their state. It also provides homeowners with a simple four-step explanation of taking advantage of federal stimulus credits by purchasing an energy-efficient propane appliance.

Many people don’t realize that upgrading their home heating and water heating system to an energy-efficient propane appliance not only qualifies them for the federal tax credits available through the stimulus package and other rebates, but it can reduce their energy costs and their home’s greenhouse gas emissions. According to research, each propane tankless water heater installed to replace an electric-powered storage water heater eliminates 35,000 pounds of greenhouse gas emissions over 10 years.
