I was recently contact by Donald Knaack, a man who is very serious about two things…..music and unnecessary waste.  Donald takes old, found and recycled materials and turns them into an auditory symphony of percussion!  Being a drummer myself, I wanted to waste no time at all in getting the word out about this insanely original music!

Long before the environment was on the top of people’s “to do” list, The Junkman™ was playing the original eco beat, making green music and spreading his environmental messages.

For over 25 years, Donald Knaack aka The Junkman™ has been sending out green vibes by  playing his percussion-based music on found and recycled materials all over the world.  His HOP™ (Help Our Planet) environmental education program was just awarded the Vermont Governors Award for Environmental Excellence. He also constructs environmental sound sculptures made exclusively from junk and recycled materials.
