Reduce Kitchen Waste With Re-useable Containers

15 December 2008 No Comment

Remember those little sandwich baggies that your mom used to send in a paper bag with your lunch? Or those times when you cut up just a few too many veggies to snack on and you popped them all in a zip-lock bag to keep them fresh for tomorrow? Well, those little baggies are a thing of the past! That’s right, read it again…..those little baggies are a thing of the past.

Ziploc Bags Aren’t Cheap!

Whats a box of Ziplocs cost? Five dollars? Probably somewhere around there. Why not turn your focus over to reusable containers for lunches and storing leftover food. Margarine containers, Tupperware, there are countless reusable kitchen containers available today.

The positive environmental effects of reducing waste by reusing containers, or using reusable kitchen storage containers are many, and they don’t end with the environment. Your pocket book should see a slight boost in savings if you stop buying those wasteful sandwich baggies and Ziploc bags!
