Ready to eat meat, cold cuts, lunch meat consumption down after listeriosis outbreak

The CBC has just released the results of a poll conducted looking at what Canadians are eating as far as lunch meat goes. This summers outbreak of listeriosis has driven sales of ready to eat meat down, and the poll definitely suggests people are turning to other sources of meat after the outbreak earlier this year.

One thing they found was that 70 per cent of people polled said their perception of ready to eat meat products changed after the listeriosis outbreak.
