Natural Oil and Lemon Based Furniture Cleaner

9 August 2008 One Comment

Wooden furniture tends to collect quite a bit of dust, and constant cleaning is necessary to maintain that great shine you love to see. Unfortunately, most furniture cleaners and polishes are full of unhealthy chemicals and come in spray cans that are quite damaging to the atmosphere. There is a simple alternative to replace those lemon scented furniture polishes that you can buy.

Alternative Furniture Polish

1/4 cup olive oil
1/4 cup vinegar
2 tsp lemon juice

Simply mix up these items in a spray bottle and shake it up. Squirt this solution on wood surfaces and be sure to wipe the area very well until it is completely dry. You’ll probably need to shake the bottle up a few times while you are cleaning in order to keep the mixture from separating.

I was just wondering does it matter what kind of olive oil you use?
i.e. is there a difference between regular and extra virgin olive oil?
