It was in 1993 that the federal government first issued a “water saving” mandate stipulating that all new toilets had to use 1.6 gallons of water per flush (GPF) or less. Theres a very interesting campaign being spear headed by Environmental Defence (http://www.environmentaldefence.ca/), who have partnered up with “Moms Against Climate Change” to deliver a strong message to Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper before heading to Copenhagen.
